My friend just sent me a picture of an actual, printed and published book with my picture as its cover. Apparently, someone used my work for commercial work without my permission. That is NOT NICE. I use the internet as the media for me to express my ideas through my artwork. I appreciate all the support that I get, I really do. However, taking someone elses work without their permission / without proper credit especially for commercial work is not appreciating. It's stealing.
Things to remember :
1. My works are not stock images
2. You are NOT allowed use it for any commercial / printing / competition purposes (if you want to use my work for commercial / printing purposes, you MUST contact and discuss with me first in a legal way and you are absolutely not allowed to use my work to enter a competition, never. ever.)
3. Sharing my pictures on non-profitable websites (such as blogger or Tumblr) is fine, as long as you give me proper credit and attach a link to my website/page where you took the pictures from.
4. You may use my work as a reference (drawings, vectors, illustrations) but you need to ask for my permission first before you take it and post it elsewhere (non-profitable sites!)
